For people with previous experience in Acting Shakespeare (on stage or in workshops).

This workshop aims to hone your craft as a Shakespearean actor and actress. We will start with a group exploration and warm-up, and continue with individually tailored exercices aimed at providing you with support and inspiration for your take on your chosen monologue. As everyone may be involved in each others’ exercices, expect an acting-filled day ahead! Whether you wish to explore tragedy or comedy, or you’ve dreamt of Acting Shakespeare on stage for a long time, whether you’re preparing for something bigger or have previously acted Shakespeare and enjoyed it, or are looking for a new way out of a rut, this workshop is for you!

** Bring loose movement clothes, water, notebook, and a monologue you know by heart.

Workshop facilitator:
Victoria Baumgartner, from Will & Compagnie.

Victoria is a writer and director who has been studying and staging Shakespeare for ten years and has written and directed several plays inspired by the Bard’s universe. She has an MA of Arts and Literature with a specialization in Shakespearean studies, and training from LAMDA (London) and the Authentic Artist Collective (Kath Burlinson, UK). Her work has been performed across Europe in three languages.
