For absolute Shakespeare beginners, although some theatre experience is more than welcome.

In this workshop, you will discover how to approach Shakespeare’s words with confidence, ease and joy! It all starts with the body. Through carefully selected physical warm-up exercices, individually and in a group, you will find ways to let your body do the work. Shakespeare is all about embodiment, and the methods I have honed over the years are aimed at facilitating your own creativity through your body’s and spirit’s intelligence. Naturally, you will also discover essential vocal tools and tricks for Acting Shakespeare, as well as being provided with a methodical step-by-step recipe to approach any Shakespeare text on your own in future. This workshop aims to make you explore the tip of the iceberg, while providing technical tools should you wish to explore Acting Shakespeare further.

** Bring loose movement clothes, water, notebook, and a Shakespearean monologue (if you do not have one, we will provide a choice).

Intervenante:
Victoria Baumgartner, from Will & Compagnie.

She has an MA of Arts and Literature with a specialization in Shakespearean studies,  and training from LAMDA (London) and the Authentic Artist Collective (Kath Burlinson, UK). Her work has been performed across Europe in three languages.
